  • Workflow Chain (WFC) - ordered collection of Workflows representing a business process (ISA88 = ?)
  • Workflow (WF) - ordered collection of Protocols (ISA88 = ?)
  • Protocol - series of steps performed on one ore more Entities
  • Entity - resource that is submitted to - or a component of - a business process
  • Entity Class - collection of Entity Types. Classes receive their own app in L7|ESP 
  • Entity Type - Defines the attributes of an Entity, including its custom fields and ID sequences
  • Project - Collection of Experiments
  • Experiment - Collection of Entities submitted to a Workflow or WFC
  • Worksheet - Spreadsheet-style data entry for Entities submitted to an Experiment, completed in L7 LIMS
